update

OK so I got married on 8/8/08 to my beautiful wife (Avis) and couldn't be happier! I've had two periods since my last post and I've lost some more weight so good stuff there! So far (since late April) I've lost 45 pounds, arthritis, depression, and gall bladder problems gone! The other day I decided to try on a pair of jeans that didn't fit me in July (size 22) and they fit with room to spare. As a matter of fact, I may need a smaller size before too long! I still have way too much energy! I wish I had done this sooner in my life! But everything happens for a reason!

Good stuff

I'm expecting my period and it's nowhere to be seen but I'm not giving up! I've lost more weight I'm now down to 245 from (at heaviest) 294. So that's 49 pounds WOW! OK so yes I am kinda bummed about the no period thing. But I know I'm getting healthy, and if we want a baby I need to be healthy first. I feel my self slipping a little this week ( I've been super hungry for some reason) And I know from past experiences that it's a slipper slope once you start slipping (I'm not like Avis that can have a little slip and get right back on with almost no problems. Oh no not me! When I have a slip I go down hard and stay there for a while!) One more thing I joined this online group called rawfu and bunny berry got it started, she's doing a 100 day raw food challenge that starts August 1, 2008 and I'm so excited because maybe this will make me feel like I'm not all alone in this (except Avis).

Amazing!

Forward: I have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) which causes unexplained weight gain, facial hair, infertility, irregular or no menstrual periods, hair loss, and hair in weird places i.e. on your back or chest. I've done all kinds of research on PCOS and diet, losing weight, natural remedies, and having tried every diet/exercise I came across, having no success and after my dad's passing last thanksgiving (at 55 from colon cancer that he didn't even know he had) I found the Raw food lifestyle and have been raw vegan now for two months. If you have any questions just ask I'm pretty open and very honest.
The weight is flying off me at 5 lbs. a week (which if you knew me, I NEVER lose weight like that!) I'm now down 30 lbs. in two months( I stopped losing weight when I had my PERIOD!) Yes, I actually had a period so WOOHOO! I'm getting all excited! This means that if I keep having periods, on a normal schedule for six months, I can try for a baby! How exciting is that? And of course Avis is super excited too! I love this diet! I feel like a teenager again, I'm losing weight like crazy and having periods. WOW that's all I can say! Oh! Also it's getting to be so super easy!

The nausea is back

OK, so I knew going into this that there was going to be detoxing involved(including but not limited to dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and other such fun things) and right now I'm going through some serious nausea! I can't eat too many vegetables or else I feel for lack of a better word "pukey." So right now I'm eating 30% vegetables and the rest fruit, nuts, and fluids. I know it's not good to eat high fruit, but if I don't I may vomit. Tomorrow I'm going to try to trick my body and make a green smoothie and I'll see if that helps. I also have been giving some serious thought to doing a cleanse (maybe the master cleanse but haven't decided).
